Our Family

DSC_9351 Robert, Moriah, Tim, Andrea, Levi, and Julea

Our Abbreviated family story:   Tim and Andrea (both missionary kids) met in high school and started "dating" as teenagers.  After Tim's first two years of college, we were married in 1994 and officially started our new family.  After graduating from college in 1996, Tim accepted a position as associate/youth pastor in Muskegon, Michigan.  During this time, Andrea became pregnant with our first son, Robert.  Shortly after this birth, God began re-directing our ministry plans to consider missions.  We joined ABWE as church planting missionaries to Brazil in 1998 soon after Andrea discovered we were expecting our second child, Moriah.  While raising support, Moriah was born and traveled with us to 78 different meetings in 18 months.  July 2000, we were commissioned by Northland Baptist Church and released by ABWE to start the next phase of our family life/ministry.  Just four months before inaugurating our new church plant in Brazil, Julea became the third addition to our family.  We returned to the States in 2004 for our first furlough, and, while visiting all our supporting churches, Tim finished his Masters degree. Just one and a half years into our second term in Brazil (2006), our fourth and last child, Levi, was born.

Currently 2020-2021, Robert is living in Flusing, MI, and completing a one year pastoral residency program at Mayfair Bible Church. Moriah is in her senior year at Cornerstone University studying TESOL Education.  Julea is now a freshman at Cornerstone University as well, and Levi is in eighth grade.

We are joyfully celebrating 26 years of marriage, 22 years with ABWE, and 20 years church planting.

We are richly blessed as we cherish each moment spent together and have together become passionate about fulfilling God's will and purpose through each member of our family.
